Refunds and cancelled events

Updated 13 July 2026

If an event is cancelled, you get 100% of what you paid back, including the booking fee, and you do not have to ask. When the organiser cancels, every paid order is refunded to the card that paid, and the tickets stop working at the same moment. We also email you to confirm the cancellation and the refund. Refunding the booking fee on cancellation is not the industry norm; on findout it is the rule.

When the money arrives

Refunds go back to your original payment method. Once processed, banks typically take a few business days to show the credit; the exact timing is down to your bank.

Other refunds

  • Change of mind or cannot attend: if the organiser's policy allows it, you can request a refund from your ticket page and the organiser decides.
  • Event postponed or materially changed: you can ask for a face-value refund; see The event was postponed or changed.
  • Change of mind: tickets for a dated event are not refundable, and the 14-day online cooling-off period does not apply to dated leisure events. This never affects your rights when the event itself is cancelled or changed.
  • The booking fee pays for the booking service, delivered when your ticket is issued, so it is only refunded when the whole event is cancelled.

One thing to know: a refunded ticket's QR code stops working immediately, so a refunded ticket cannot be used at the door. The full rules are in the refund policy and the binding version in the ticket purchase terms. Your statutory consumer rights are never affected.
