What is this FINDOUT.IE charge on my statement?

Tickets bought on findout appear on your card statement as FINDOUT.IE. That is our exact Stripe statement descriptor. Because the payment goes to the event's organiser or venue as the seller, some banks show their trading name alongside or instead of ours; a charge under the venue's or organiser's name for the right amount is the same ticket purchase. Those are the only names a findout charge carries.

Work out what it was

• The amount is the all-in ticket price: face value plus the booking fee of €0.50 plus 4% per ticket. For example, a €25.00 ticket charges exactly €26.50.
• Enter the email address on your card account at Find my tickets; your order and its receipt will be there if the ticket was bought with that address.
• The confirmation email (subject line with the event name) arrived at the moment of the charge; search your inbox around the statement date for tickets@findout.ie.

Before you dispute it with your bank

Check with us first. Most "unknown" findout charges turn out to be a ticket someone in the household bought, a pre-fee price remembered against an all-in charge, or the organiser's name not being recognised. Contact us with the amount and date and we trace the exact order in minutes. If a card really was used without permission, we sort the refund with the organiser directly, which is faster for you than a chargeback: a bank dispute typically takes weeks, freezes the order on our side while it runs, and invalidates the tickets attached to it.
