Troubleshoot a delayed or missing payout

Updated 13 July 2026

A payout that has not arrived is nearly always one of four causes. Check them in this order; the first two are things only you can fix.

1. Stripe verification is incomplete

Money cannot leave Stripe until your identity verification is complete, and Stripe sometimes asks for extra documents after the initial check, which pauses payouts until you respond. Your organiser payouts page shows your payout status; if it says Stripe needs something, open your Stripe Express dashboard and resolve the request. This is the most common cause and the fix is entirely on the Stripe side.

2. Your bank details are wrong

If the bank account on your Stripe Express profile has an error, the payout leaves Stripe, bounces at the bank, and returns after a few days. Check the account number and details in your Stripe Express dashboard, correct them, and the returned funds pay out again on the next cycle.

3. Refunds are in flight

Refunded tickets are excluded from your payout, and refunds processed close to the event can make the released amount lower than you expected rather than missing. Compare the payout breakdown on your payouts page against your refunds before assuming money is lost; every line traces to a specific order.

4. It is not due yet

Payouts release the morning after your event date, then take 1 to 2 business days to reach your bank. On your first event, 25% is held as a reserve and releases 7 days after the event date. The full schedule is in When you get paid.

Still missing?
