Edit a live event
Updated 13 July 2026
Before the first ticket sells, everything is editable. After the first sale, buyers hold tickets to the event as you described it, so the things they bought into lock. This is deliberate, and it is part of why buying from you on findout is trusted.
Always editable
Description, summary, lineup, and artwork stay editable throughout, sales or not.
Locked after the first sale
- Event date, venue, and start time. A change to any of these is a materially different event, which gives buyers refund rights; contact us for a genuine change and we handle it properly rather than silently.
- Ticket prices: a ticket type's price locks once that type has ever sold. Buyers at the old price and buyers at a new price for the same ticket is a fairness problem findout simply avoids. You can still add new ticket types at different prices.
- Refund policy: after sales start, it can only move to a more generous option, never a stricter one, and each buyer keeps the policy that applied when they bought.
Quantity
Capacity can go up any time. It can go down only as far as the number already sold; you can stop selling further, but never invalidate a sold ticket by shrinking the room.
